As the school year ends its course,
I receive these gifts, with heartfelt force.
From children whom I’ve had the joy,
To guide, to teach, and to employ.

These tokens bring a warm delight,
A gesture kind, a touch so bright.
Though gifts were never needed here,
Your thoughtfulness is very dear.

I’m proud of all that you have grown,
The strength, the grit, the seeds you’ve sown.
Your perseverance, shining through,
Your independence, clear and true.

Your journeys filled my heart with pride,
With every step, you’ve grown inside.
Thank you for the gifts you give,
But know it’s you who makes me live.

It’s your success, your dreams in flight,
That bring me joy, both day and night.
So here’s my thanks, sincere and true,
For being wonderful, being you.
